LUKA MODRIC COMEBACK PROBLEMS

ALL THE NEWS FROM www.topspur.info

LUKA MODRIC’S long-awaited Tottenham return has been delayed until later this month.

The Croatian playmaker has missed most of the season so far after breaking a leg against Birmingham at the end of August.

He was hoping to resume training and declare his fitness for the match against Sunderland next Saturday after getting the all-clear from specialists.

But Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits that Modric is still feeling pain in his leg and did not feel comfortable in training last week.

With England playing Brazil in Qatar on November 14, Modric is hoping that the enforced Premier League break will give him the time to prepare for a comeback against Wigan on November 22.

Redknapp said: “It’s not a setback. The international break gives him another two weeks to get fit.”

Topspur wishes him a speedy recovery and hopes all goes well for the little fella
